Women's Intersectional qualifying General Description: This is an OVGA 18-hole match play event usually held on the 3rd Sunday in July. There will be three qualifying rounds where players gain points for bogey, par, birdie, and eagle. From these qualifying events, eight players with the most points in two of their three rounds will be selected to represent Mississippi Golf Club and play golf with members from three other clubs. Qualifying players can purchase their team shirt at the Pro Shop. Sign-up: An online signup form will be sent approximately 3 weeks prior to the event. O'Brien Cup Qualifier General Description: This 18-hole stroke play event, started in 1933, is the oldest interclub event in which the Mississippi Golf Club Ladies have participated. There are three qualifying rounds. Twelve players with the lowest total gross score in two out of the three qualifying rounds will be selected to represent Mississippi Golf Club and play golf with members from Sand Point, Renfrew, Pembroke and Deep River golf clubs. A dinner and the presentation of prizes follows the round of golf. Qualifying players can purchase their team shirt at the Pro Shop.
