The Fraser Cup is the UVGA “B” Class team championship. Clubs involved in the competition are Mississippi, Arnprior, Renfrew, Pembroke, Island Brae, Petawawa and Deep River. Qualification for Mississippi’s team is based on the best two out of three 18-hole scores. Players must have a handicap of 10 or higher 15 days before the event to compete on the Fraser Cup team. Each club team consists of 12 players, who must be at least 19 years of age on the day of the tournament. The 10 best gross scores from each team are counted, and the club with the lowest team score wins the Fraser Cup. The host club for Fraser Cup this year will be Deep River on August 26th.

The Longpré Cup is the UVGA “C” Class team championship, and involves the following clubs: Mississippi, Arnprior, Renfrew, Pembroke, Island Brae, Petawawa and Deep River.  Qualification for Mississippi’s team is based on the best two out of three 18-hole scores. Players must have a handicap  of 15 or higher 15 days before the event to compete on the Longpré Cup team. Each club team consists of 10 players, who must be at least 19 years of age on the day of the tournament.  The 8 best gross scores from each team are counted, and the club with the lowest team score wins the Longpré Cup. This year, the Longpre tournament will be hosted by Renfrew.

The Quattrocchi is the UVGA match play team championship. “7.0+” Team Championship – Match Play Clubs involved in the competition are Mississippi, Arnprior, Renfrew, Island Brae, Pembroke and Deep River.  Qualification for Mississippi’s team is based on the best two out of three 18-hole scores. Each club team consists of 12 players, who must be at least 19 years of age on the day of the tournament. Players must have a handicap 7 or higher 15 days before the event to participate in the Quattrocchi. Four 2-man teams from each club play 10 matches of 2-ball alternate shot against participating clubs. The remaining 4 players from each team play 10 singles matches against participating clubs. Each match is worth 2 points for a win and 1 point for a tie. The club with the highest point total wins the Murray Quattrocchi Memorial Cup. This year the Quattrochi Cup will be hosted by Sand Point Club on Sunday August 27th.

This year, the tournament will be hosted by Mississippi Golf Club on September 12th.

The Mississippi Senior Intersectional Team also competes against teams from other clubs in the Ottawa Valley Golf Association (OVGA). To qualify, members must be 55 years of age or older on the day of the tournament. The Senior Intersectional Team must have three (3) players in the 55 to 64 year bracket, three (3) players in the 65 and older bracket and four (4) wild card players (any age provided they are Seniors). The two alternates must be a minimum of 60 years of age. Qualification for the team is based on the best two out of threeo 18-hole scores.  The team consists of 10 members – 8 regulars and 2 alternates. During the OVGA Intersectional competition, each golfer plays 3 simultaneous matches against golfers from the 3 other clubs in the division. Each match is worth 2 points for a win and 1 point for a tie. The team with the most points at the end of the competition is declared the winner and moves up a division the next year. The team with the least points moves down a division. The OVGA Senior Intersectional matches are usually played later in the season in September.
