The Senior Club Championship is a two-round, stroke play event and is open to all adult male members 50 years of age or older. The golfer with the lowest gross score over both rounds wins the Senior Club Championship. In the event of a tie, the players involved compete in a sudden death playoff. Prizes are also awarded to the low gross and low net winners in each age division (50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70+). |

Event Summary
Monday, July 17, 2017 Saturday, August 12, 2017 Sunday August 13, 2017 Registration Deadline: Sunday, July 17, 2017 Round 1 Start: Monday, July 17 9:00 am Round 2 Start: Saturday, August 12 9:00 am Round 3 Start: Sunday, August 13 9:00 am This year, the tournament will be hosted by Mississippi Golf Club on September 12th. The Mississippi Senior Intersectional Team also competes against teams from other clubs in the Ottawa Valley Golf Association (OVGA). To qualify, members must be 55 years of age or older on the day of the tournament. The Senior Intersectional Team must have three (3) players in the 55 to 64 year bracket, three (3) players in the 65 and older bracket and four (4) wild card players (any age provided they are Seniors). The two alternates must be a minimum of 60 years of age. Qualification for the team is based on the best two out of threeo 18-hole scores. The team consists of 10 members – 8 regulars and 2 alternates. During the OVGA Intersectional competition, each golfer plays 3 simultaneous matches against golfers from the 3 other clubs in the division. Each match is worth 2 points for a win and 1 point for a tie. The team with the most points at the end of the competition is declared the winner and moves up a division the next year. The team with the least points moves down a division. The OVGA Senior Intersectional matches are usually played later in the season in September. |
