Women's Interclub Qualifying 9:00 a.m.

This event involves four teams from the district, which includes Mississippi Golf Club. Each club hosts one 18-hole round per year, using a Stableford scoring system. Statistics are kept and a winning club is determined at the end of the four events. Mississippi holds a qualifying round before each of the four events to select 8 players to represent the club. The team for each event is made up of the 4 low gross scorers and 4 low net scorers from the preceding qualifying round.

Women's Open Club Championship (Rnd 1/2) 9:00 a.m.

Women's Open Club Championship - open to ANY female member in good standing

The Ladies' Club Championship is a 36 hole stroke play event held over two days. There is no qualifying round. Champions are declared in A, B and C classes. The Ladies' Club Championship is held in August, in conjunction with the final two rounds of the Club Championship (Open Division)

Women's Senior Club Championship (Rnd 1/2) 9:00 a.m.

Women's Senior Club Championship 

The Women's Senior Club Championship is a 36 hole stroke play event. The golfer with the best gross score is declared the overall winner. Winners are also declared in four age divisions (50 - 59 years; 60 - 69 years; 70 - 74 years; and 75 years and older) This event is separate from the Open  Ladies' Club Championsip.

Women's Senior Intersectional Qualifying (3/3) 9:00 a.m.

This event us a gross match play tournament where Ottawa Valley Golf Association (OVGA) clubs are organized into divisions of four. Mississippi’s team (7 members plus one alternate) is selected based on the best two of three 18 hole scores 9, using a modified Stableford system, for qualifying rounds. Team members play matches against competitors from the other three clubs in their division, for points. The team with the most points at the end of the competition is declared the winner and moves up a division the next year. The team with the least points moves down a division. The OVGA Ladies Senior Intersectionals is usually played in September.

 

Eligibility: ANY Senior woman that is 50 years of age or more

The best 2 out of 3 designated qualifying rounds is used to select the team.Scoring for this event is using a modified stableford system.

Team consists of 7 team members plus 1 alternate based on the following additional criteria:

Team must consist of:

1 player aged 65+

2 players between 55 and 64

4 players aged 50+

1 alternate aged 50+

Team members will play matches on the designated day in the division as determined by the previous years team results hosted by the club placing second in the division.

This event may be held in conjunction with other events.
