Monday, July 18, 2016 Sunday August 7, 2016 Round 3 Start: Sunday, August 7, 9:00 am The Ashley/Brown Cup is the UVGA Senior team championship. Competing clubs are Mississippi, Arnprior, Renfrew, Pembroke, Island Brae, Petawawa and Deep River. Qualification for Mississippi’s team is based on the best two out of three 18-hole scores. Each club team consists of 12 players, who must be 55 years of age or older on the day of the tournament. The Ashley/Brown is usually played during the third week in August. The 10 best gross scores from each team are counted, and the club with the lowest team score wins the competition. This year, the host club will be Pembroke Golf Club. |

Qualification for Mississippi’s team is based on the best two out of three 18-hole scores. Players must have a handicap of 15 or higher 15 days before the event to compete on the Longpré Cup team. Each club team consists of 10 players, who must be at least 19 years of age on the day of the tournament. The 8 best gross scores from each team are counted, and the club with the lowest team score wins the Longpré Cup. This year, the Longpre tournament will be hosted by Island Brae. |

Round 1 Start: Sunday, June 12, 11:00 am Round 2 Start: Sunday, July 17, 11:00 am Round 3 Start: Saturday, August 6, 9:00 am The Quattrocchi is the UVGA match play team championship. “7.0+” Team Championship – Match Play Clubs involved in the competition are Mississippi, Arnprior, Renfrew, Island Brae, Pembroke and Deep River. Qualification for Mississippi’s team is based on the best two out of three 18-hole scores. Each club team consists of 12 players, who must be at least 19 years of age on the day of the tournament. Players must have a handicap 7 or higher 15 days before the event to participate in the Quattrocchi. Four 2-man teams from each club play 10 matches of 2-ball alternate shot against participating clubs. The remaining 4 players from each team play 10 singles matches against participating clubs. Each match is worth 2 points for a win and 1 point for a tie. The club with the highest point total wins the Murray Quattrocchi Memorial Cup. This year the Quattrochi Cup will be hosted by Mississippi Golf Club on Sunday August 28th. |

The Senior Club Championship is a two-round, stroke play event and is open to all adult male members 50 years of age or older. The golfer with the lowest gross score over both rounds wins the Senior Club Championship. In the event of a tie, the players involved compete in a sudden death playoff. Prizes are also awarded to the low gross and low net winners in each age division (50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70+). |

Registration Deadline: Sunday, July 18, 2016 Round 1 Start: Monday, July 18 9:00 am Round 2 Start: Saturday, August 6 9:00 am Round 3 Start: Sunday, August 7 9:00 am The Mississippi Senior Intersectional Team also competes against teams from other clubs in the Ottawa Valley Golf Association (OVGA). The men’s senior Intersectional team consists of ten (10) players and two (2) alternates. To qualify, members must be 55 years of age or older on the day of the tournament. At least three (3) players must be a minimum of 65 years of age. The two (2) alternates must be a minimum of 60 years of age. Qualification for the team is based on the best two out of threeo 18-hole scores. The team consists of 10 members – 8 regulars and 2 alternates. During the OVGA Intersectional competition, each golfer plays 3 simultaneous matches against golfers from the 3 other clubs in the division. Each match is worth 2 points for a win and 1 point for a tie. The team with the most points at the end of the competition is declared the winner and moves up a division the next year. The team with the least points moves down a division. The OVGA Senior Intersectional matches are usually played later in the season in September. This year the tournament will be hosted by Mississippi Golf Club on September 6. |
