This was one of those days where you can't get it 100% right. Hopefully it is as good as can be.

 

This email is to explain how we are treating today's qualifier and skins, as well as future qualifiers.

 

Since we had a lightning advisory about half way through the qualifier, many groups decided it was unsafe to continue and decided to stop or ask if they could stop. I am in no position to tell people to continue in a lightning storm, and so I said to those people that todays game would be replayed. At the same time, many groups continued to play and finished their round before any word was given to them. 

 

The decision hence was to give people the option to play another 2 qualifying rounds, or to count their score today (assuming they played 18 holes) and only play one more qualifying round.

 

The next qualifying round will be held on August 8 and a make up qualifying round will be held on August 15 (coincident with the club championship). You must declare prior to check in at the pro-shop on August 8 if you wish for todays round to count or not.

 

The skin money collected today will be refunded.

 

If you have not handed in a scorecard for a round that you are considering counting, then please email a photo of it to me ASAP.
